Arise Youth Center provides detention alternatives for youth in Minnehaha County, including:

• Reception Center: Safe environment for law enforcement can transport youth to wait to be picked up by a parent or approved adult, staff complete screenings and offer resources to the youth and their parent or guardian.
• Shelter Care: Temporary care as an alternative to going into a secure detention facility if the youth does not require that level of service. Assists youth and their parent or guardian through a screening process to identify needs and community resources along with a discharge plan in collaboration with the court system.

Evening Reporting Center: An alternative to detention that allows youth to remain in the community while receiving additional services. Services include 4 hours of programming that incorporates homework help, meal planning and preparation and job skill development.

Provides individual counseling for all ages, family counseling, anger management and evaluations, and mental health evaluations. Some areas of expertise include depression, anxiety, conflict resolution, behavior management, grief and loss, bullying relief, pain management, PTSD and other trauma related disorders.

Mental Health services include individual, couples and family counseling, 24-hour QMHP services, psychiatric evaluations and medication management, school consultations, and employee assistance programs (EAP). Alcohol and Drug Program treatment approach is based on the 12-step program of Alcoholics Anonymous and reality therapy. Services offered include individual counseling, chemical assessments, DUI education program, outpatient treatment, prevention education program, and a relapse prevention group. Case Management and IMPACT Programs, designed to help clients with severe and persistent mental illness, services include case management and continued care, medication management with psychiatrist, crisis intervention assistance, and psychiatric rehabilitation which seeks to provide program services that assist clients in developing skills and manage resources needed to allow them to be successful in the community. A client centered, client directed form of treatment, the program consists of services designed to restore the disabled person to a level of functioning which permits a useful, meaningful life.

The Adolescent Crisis Care Center provides immediate, short-term care for middle and high school youth who are experiencing a crisis or may be considering suicide. Services provided are mental health screenings/assessments, observation, de-escalation/stabilization, and referrals to appropriate services. Also has Community Health Workers that will provide case management services.

Provides pharmacy services and is a medical disposal take-back site.

Offering counseling to individuals managing issues from major depression to juggling daily stressors in a supportive, nonjudgmental environment. Offers telehealth services.

Pharmacy services include a wide variety of brand and generic prescription medications, private-label, over-the-counter medications, vaccinations, home medical equipment, email and text message refill reminders, mail services, and pharmacist counseling. This is also a medication disposal site.

The main focus of Emily's Hope is treatment accessibility, support for families and prevention education. The Emily's Hope Fund, through the Avera McKennan Foundation, is getting people into treatment. Donations help offset insurance co-pays or support the uninsured. Donations will also support the families of those in treatment on a case-by-case basis who are seeing help at the Avera Addiction Care Center. Emily's Hope has developed a K-12 prevention education curriculum that aims to educate children on how substances affect the brain and how substance use disorder occurs. An intensive, outpatient, 12-step recovery-based center for alcohol and drugs. Services are provided by certified chemical dependency counselors including assessments - by appointment, walk-in or virtual, day and evening treatment programs, adolescent programs, 12 hour DUI class, Intensive Methamphetamine Treatment (IMT) offered with state approval only, and a Recovery Maintenance Group. Sanford Hospice is a specially trained team that is committed to providing our patients with quality end-of-life care. Our interdisciplinary team understands and is sensitive to the needs of our patients and their loved ones.
