The facility provides acute, emergency, and medical care, full lab, with diagnostic testing, outpatient infusion, respiratory therapy, radiology, rehabilitation, diabetes care, pharmacy, flu shots, surgery, women's center/labor and delivery, oncology/cancer, and cardiology/heart.

Prairie Lakes Healthcare System offers support groups that offer individuals help with coping with a chronic disease or life event. Support Groups that are offered include: Your Total Joint Surgery: An education session for patients considering or have scheduled for total joint replacement surgery along with their caregiver or coach. Grief Support Group: A six-week grief support session where those who have experienced the death of a loved one can find comfort, support, and hope.

Veterans Stand Down event provides education and information about Veteran services and benefits to Veterans and their families in the West River region. The event also includes haircuts, clothing, hygiene products, employment services, legal assistance, housing referrals, eye screening/reading glasses, readjustment counseling. A free meal is served at all locations.

Provides treatment needs assessments for individuals with addictions and mental health challenges. Individual, couple and family counseling for ages 12 and up; all genders welcome. Services are individualized, trauma informed, holistic and strength based. Services are offered both face to face and via telehealth, which can be accessed with smart phone, tablet or computer. Treatment approaches include animal assisted therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT), hypnotherapy, Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT), brain spotting, and Accelerate Resolution Therapy (ART) and others. ​Reiki is available to help resolve emotional and physical distress by allowing healing energy to flow freely throughout the body. Common issues and disorders addressed include, but are not limited to, anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, eating disorders, chronic pain, addictions, trauma, body image and life changes.

H.U.G.S. (Hope, Understanding, Grief, Support) is a peer-led support group for suicide loss survivors in the Aberdeen area. H.U.G.S. meetings provide the opportunity to explore feelings and shared experiences through the grieving process. They are led by volunteers who have lost a loved one to suicide. Meetings are held once a month, are free and drop-in.

Services provided include individual counseling, LGBTQ+ counseling, trauma informed therapy, couples therapy, and family counseling.

Sanford Hospice is a specially trained team that is committed to providing our patients with quality end-of-life care. Survivors of Incest Anonymous (SIA) is a 12-step, self-help program modeled after Alcoholics Anonymous for survivors of childhood sexual abuse. Printed literature is available, quarterly bulletins which can be sent free automatically to an email address, speakers, and self-help support groups. Services offered include Evaluations and assessments, Professional therapy and counseling, and a free coffee bar and baked goods for clients. Licensed clinical professionals work with individuals, couples and families.

Programs include the following: Energy Conservation - South Dakota Building Science Training Center provides energy conservation information to the community. Information & Referral - Available to help point people to programs who could help (i.e.. CHIP, TANF, etc.). Low Income Organizing - Community Action Teams are volunteers organizing people to help themselves and others in the community. Prisoner Support Group - Activities are held for family support and monthly South Dakota Prison events. Homeless Veterans or Veterans at-risk for homelessness have free, 24/7 access to trained responders. Callers will be connected with a homelessness specialist at the nearest VA facility. The hotline is intended to assist homeless Veterans and their families, VA Medical Centers, federal, state and local partners, community agencies, service providers and others in the community.
