A 24-hour residential and psychiatric treatment center serving emotionally disturbed and learning disabled children between the ages of 4-14. This program also provides special education services and intensive therapy for children and families who are experiencing difficulty at home, in school, or in the community. Services include day school and residential programs, evaluation services, family supportive services, consultation and training services. Madsen House is designed to provide comprehensive psychiatric diagnosis and assessments, as well as short-term treatment for children ages 4-14 with emotional and behavioral problems. Madsen House Intensive Unit is an eight-bed unit for children ages 4-14 who have severe or chronic emotional and behavioral disorders. Treatment includes psychiatric care, adaptive management, individual, group and family therapy and academic programming. Childcare teams consist of three counselors and one team coordinator, creating a ratio of one staff for every two children.

The parents, families, and surrogate families of children with SED participate in all aspects of evaluation, planning and delivery of services. Services include Behavioral Health, Dental, Diabetes Care, Health Promotion/Disease Prevention, Laboratory, Nursing, Radiology, Optometry, Pharmacy (Prescription Assistance - Enrolled members of a Native American tribe can get free prescriptions by visiting their local IHS), Primary Care, Public Health Nursing, Physical Therapy, Specialty Clinic (OB/GYN), Weight Loss/Nutrition, Well Child Care, Men/Women's Health, and Medication Disposal.

Outpatient psychotherapy services for individuals, couples and families for a wide variety of concerns ranging from mental health struggles to life transitions. Provides Buprenorphine Based MAT (Medication assisted treatment) to help people with an opioid use disorder abstain from or reduce their use of opioids. Offers telehealth services. Family Pathways (Family Outreach Services) counselors providing intensive counseling and support services for children in community locations such as home or school. Psychiatric Services include assessments and medication management. CARE - Continuous Assistance, Rehabilitation, and Education services for adults with severe mental illness.

Provides for initial assessment and stabilization of adult psychiatric patients. During the 12-15 day average length of stay, the program initiates and develops treatment and discharge plans. The program promotes and facilitates the patients independent functioning in daily activities. Emphasis is on providing care, treatment and rehabilitation services that will enable the patients to return to and function in the community at the earliest possible time. The Acute Program is Medicare approved by the Health Care Financing Administration. The Intensive Treatment Unit is available for adults and adolescents who require short term intensive monitoring.
