Acute Program | Human Services Center

Provides for initial assessment and stabilization of adult psychiatric patients. During the 12-15 day average length of stay, the program initiates and develops treatment and discharge plans. The program promotes and facilitates the patients independent functioning in daily activities. Emphasis is on providing care, treatment and rehabilitation services that will enable the patients to return to and function in the community at the earliest possible time. The Acute Program is Medicare approved by the Health Care Financing Administration. The Intensive Treatment Unit is available for adults and adolescents who require short term intensive monitoring.

The facility is open 24 hours a day / 7 days a week Crisis assessments are done/accepted through an ER or community mental health center.

If meet criteria for a mental health hold (as determined by a QMHP), call for information.

Currently accepting primarily involuntary mental health hold patients (a danger to self or others). Must be referred by QMHP.
