Information & Referral - Available to help point people to programs who could help (i.e.. CHIP, TANF, etc.). Low Income Organizing - Community Action Teams are volunteers organizing people to help themselves and others in the community. Prisoner Support Group - Activities are held for family support and monthly South Dakota Prison events. Youth Recreation - Swim passes and scholarships for camps, or other youth recreation activities. Available activity depends on site location. Children must be income eligible.

Arise Youth Center provides detention alternatives for youth in Minnehaha County, including:

• Reception Center: Safe environment for law enforcement can transport youth to wait to be picked up by a parent or approved adult, staff complete screenings and offer resources to the youth and their parent or guardian.
• Shelter Care: Temporary care as an alternative to going into a secure detention facility if the youth does not require that level of service. Assists youth and their parent or guardian through a screening process to identify needs and community resources along with a discharge plan in collaboration with the court system.

Evening Reporting Center: An alternative to detention that allows youth to remain in the community while receiving additional services. Services include 4 hours of programming that incorporates homework help, meal planning and preparation and job skill development.

A science-based, secular alternative to Al-Anon and Johnson Intervention. It uses methods based on the tools of SMART (Self Maintenance and Recovery Training) Recovery and CRAFT (Community Reinforcement and Family Training) to provide practical tools, resources and support for those who are affected by the addictions of a loved one. The program also encourages balanced support alongside personal well-being for participants.

TBI evaluation and education for Veterans including speech-language, neurological, occupational, physical evaluations and therapies. Psychological services and caregiver supports are available.

The main focus of Emily's Hope is treatment accessibility, support for families and prevention education. The Emily's Hope Fund, through the Avera McKennan Foundation, is getting people into treatment. Donations help offset insurance co-pays or support the uninsured. Donations will also support the families of those in treatment on a case-by-case basis who are seeing help at the Avera Addiction Care Center. Emily's Hope has developed a K-12 prevention education curriculum that aims to educate children on how substances affect the brain and how substance use disorder occurs. Emily's Hope publishes a weekly podcast on addiction and grief, holds a support group for those who have lost a loved one to overdose/fentanyl poisoning, publishes a blog on grief, and provides the latest news on addiction, overdose and the fentanyl crisis.

Sanford Hospice is a specially trained team that is committed to providing our patients with quality end-of-life care. Our interdisciplinary team understands and is sensitive to the needs of our patients and their loved ones. Our team is comprised of nurses, medical director, social workers, dietitians, volunteers and chaplains. Hospice services can be provided wherever that patient calls home. This includes inpatient hospice, hospice cottages, nursing homes, assisted livings, and other long term care facilities. Hospice cottages, a unique way to care for a terminally-ill patient who is unable to remain in their home for care, are available, as well. ​​Ava's House features 16 adult patient rooms and 4 pediatric patient rooms. Monument Home+ Home Health and Hospice offers individual, couples, and family grief counseling to the immediate family members of the patients who were on Monument Health hospice services. Since people grieve differently, counseling is offered to meet the distinctive needs of different age groups and types of loss with counselors and professional social workers with specialized training and experience in grief and loss.

Clients receive help with depression, anxiety, behavioral problems, adjustment issues, grief and loss, as well as other mental health issues. An adult outpatient, time-limited, intensive, and coordinated clinical treatment program with the goal of stabilization with the intention of averting inpatient hospitalization or reducing the length of a hospital stay. ​Partial Hospital Program (PHP): Serves as a positive alternative when individual counseling does not fully meet the needs of the individual and when inpatient care is not necessary. 5 days per week, 4 hours per day. Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP): The goal of program is to provide support while promoting independence, growth, individuality and self-reliance. Clients are assisted in learning new and more effective coping skills while remaining in their homes and their jobs. Generally 7 - 11 hours of structured programming per week consisting of counseling and education groups.
