Services Offered: Individual psychotherapy for PTSD, trauma, depression, anxiety, loss-grief, addictions, communications, self-esteem, and behavioral issues and group therapy (Survivor Strong Groups for female survivors of sexual, physical and psychological abuse) through the following modalities: Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), motivational interviewing (MI), cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), rational emotive behavioral therapy (REBT), and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT).

After-school care for boys and girls ages 10 - 18 meeting intensive outpatient guidelines for addiction recovery treatment. Services offered include drug and alcohol treatment needs assessment, intensive outpatient group program, Continued Care group program, Individual therapy, and the Learning Above and Beyond (LAB) afterschool prevention based program. ​Telehealth options available.

Outpatient Services - Individual therapy (for mental health or substance use), Family therapy, Group therapy, Medication management, Psychological assessments and testing, Commitment evaluations, Nursing home consultations, and 24-hour a day crisis intervention via crisis line. Walk in assessments available during regular business hours at the Yankton and Vermillion locations. CARE Club - Program for individuals with a mental health disability (i.e. schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, anxiety and borderline personality) who live in the community. CARE club provides support, assistance, interaction with others and the opportunity to improve consumers existing skills and develop new coping skills. Children's Services - Provides child centered therapeutic services in the home or office. This program provides mental health services to children with Serious Emotional Disturbance (SED). The parents, families, and surrogate families of children with SED participate in all aspects of evaluation, planning and delivery of services. Works closely with child-serving agencies and programs.

Suicide Prevention Specialist programming to assist with prevention activities.

Provides mental health counseling services to individuals, couples, groups, and families. Works with a wide range of client populations experiencing issues including anxiety, depression, mood disorders, life stage changes, adjustment issues, relationship problems, behavior issues, substance abuse and recovery, grief, trauma, parenting and discipline, educational/vocational and concerns. Offers EMDR and Brain spotting for trauma treatment and recovery.

MAT (Medication Assisted Treatment) is offered to people who have moderate to severe opioid dependence. Because there is a complex relationship between health, mental health, and addiction, this treatment provides an integrated approach that focuses on the whole person. There are three ways to schedule an appointment with LCBHS: Call to schedule an appointment Referral from your healthcare provider Referral following a treatment needs assessment from an accredited Substance Use Treatment Provider Individuals can often be seen on the same day that you call or are referred. Everyone will receive an assessment to determine whether or not MAT is appropriate/to help determine the most appropriate level of care. If MAT is determined to be an option, staff provide education about the different forms of MAT. Two forms of MAT are offered at LCBHS: Treatment with Buprenorphine Treatment with short- or long-acting Naltrexone A plan is developed with the patient's provider for the specific form of MAT treatment, level of care, and length of service based on your individual needs. Initial drug screening is required as are laboratory studies depending on history and type of MAT. Ongoing random drug testing is an integral part of treatment. Medically monitored withdrawal management is provided in a residential setting and is available if needed. There is not a set length of time for MAT. While many people may need to stay on medication indefinitely, others may choose to taper off or discontinue using MAT medications.

Substance use programming providing chemical abuse assessments, groups, and individual services. Classes/workshops and prevention programming available for middle schools and communities. Walk-in assessments and telehealth services available.

​​Offers Christian counseling services specializing in depression, anxiety, family issues, divorce, grief, self-injury, adjustment, drug and alcohol use, attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder (ADD/ADHD), social skill, anger, domestic violence, abuse, obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD), relationship, autism, and Asperger's syndrome. Offers services in person or via telehealth.

Offers outpatient counseling services for individual, couple, and families. Staff members work with the client to provide services in the home, community, or office at the discretion of the client. Substance use evaluation, assessment, and treatment is also provided. Walk in assessments and telehealth services are available during normal business hours at the Aberdeen location. Psychiatric services are also available to those over the age of 18 including assessments and medication management.

Preference is to have an in-person intake session, but Solace recognizes that this is not always an option. Counseling for individuals, couples, families and groups, working with trauma, anxiety, depression, addictions and recovery. Individual, family, and couples issues are addressed. Specialties include Level II in both EMDR (a trauma technique) and Gottman marriage counseling.

Equine Assisted Counseling (EAC) is the combined use of horses, a licensed therapist, and a horse specialist working with clients to address various individual treatment goals. EAC is safe and all activities are done from the ground. No riding is involved.
