Offers telehealth sessions only if it is covered by insurance and client is located in state at the time of the call. Preference is for the first appointment to be face-to-face.

The parents, families, and surrogate families of children with SED participate in all aspects of evaluation, planning and delivery of services. Individual, couples, and family therapy for the treatment of various adjustment problems and psychological disorders in children, adolescents, and adults. Special areas of expertise include: pain management, stress management, complicated grief and loss, spirituality issues, parenting adult children, chronic illness, anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, parent education, abuse, eating disorders, marital infidelity issues, substance abuse issues, immigration adjustment concerns, and culturally relevant services. Therapeutic methods used include: acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), eye movement desensitization and reprocessing therapy (EMDR), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT), emotionally focused couples therapy (EFT), and psychodynamic therapy. Telehealth available for all sessions. May request sessions via telehealth, in-person or a combination. Will teach new clients how to use telehealth services.

Provides transitional, clinically-managed, low-intensity, open-ended residential treatment program for adult males. Treatment program is designed around an initial 90 day treatment plan. There are no guarantees as to the results of treatment. Services provided are a minimum of 12 hours of individual, group or family counseling per week. Residents are encouraged to take part in the outdoor operation of the facilities and participate in any of the recreational therapy programs. Intravenous (SP) (IV) Drug Users: Client referrals who are identified as having a history of using drugs intravenously (IV) will be prioritized for admission into this program.

Sober living homes utilizing: The Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous and the way of life contained therein. Self-governing sober living homes that provide a safe living environment in early recovery with continued emphasis on applying the 12-steps of recovery to daily life over a period of 3 - 12 months. Advocacy of the disease concept by carrying the message to families, businesses, churches, and schools while building alliances with organizations that share the mission of advocacy for and implementation of the 12-step approach to recovery. An alternative to medical treatment models for the recovery of alcoholism and chemical dependency

Detoxification Service: Couteau Des Prairies Hospital will provide emergency, acute medical detoxification services for those requiring these services. A Dakotah Pride Center staff member will provide transportation for detoxification services and a staff counselor will provide motivational counseling for clients who are undergoing detoxification to seek treatment through Dakotah Pride Treatment Center. Pre-treatment Evaluations: Provides screening, assessment, intervention, and treatment placement. Walk-in Assessments for Substance Use available. Adult Outpatient Program: Outpatient treatment services are provided for individuals who meet the admission criteria. The objectives of the program are to provide treatment for individuals who require therapeutic and supportive counseling and referral services while living independently, who may have completed inpatient treatment previously but relapsed, or for whom residential treatment is not otherwise possible. The program meets three times a week in three hour long sessions for six weeks. Adolescent Program: Provides outpatient treatment and continuing care services to adolescents that meet the eligibility criteria. Prenatal Empowerment Program (PEP): Works primarily with pregnant women who are struggling with substance addiction. A case manager will do addiction assessments, assist with medical applications and applications for Substance Abuse Treatment Centers, coordinate transportation for clients to off-reservation treatment centers, and conduct outpatient group sessions utilizing the Matrix Model to promote healing. Also, provides continuing care services and DUI offender classes.
