The Counseling Center offers the following services (all services based on eligibility and priority needs): Substance abuse services include screening, intake, evaluation, referrals, aftercare, primary prevention programs, education, MRT/SBISA classes, and group counseling. ​Mental health services include couples therapy, family therapy, individual therapy, group therapy, Education, Referrals, and Psychological evaluations and services.

Mental Health services include individual, couples and family counseling, 24-hour QMHP services, psychiatric evaluations and medication management, school consultations, and employee assistance programs (EAP). Alcohol and Drug Program treatment approach is based on the 12-step program of Alcoholics Anonymous and reality therapy. Services offered include individual counseling, chemical assessments, DUI education program, outpatient treatment, prevention education program, and a relapse prevention group. Case Management and IMPACT Programs, designed to help clients with severe and persistent mental illness, services include case management and continued care, medication management with psychiatrist, crisis intervention assistance, and psychiatric rehabilitation which seeks to provide program services that assist clients in developing skills and manage resources needed to allow them to be successful in the community. A client centered, client directed form of treatment, the program consists of services designed to restore the disabled person to a level of functioning which permits a useful, meaningful life.

Individual, couples and family counseling/ psychotherapy, forensic testing and psychological testing (personality, intelligence, achievement and neuropsychological). Groups include a grief group, COVID support group, adolescent support group, and chronic pain groups. Offering in-person therapy as well as telehealth.

A full continuum of mental health and treatment for substance use disorders. Services include assessments, individual and family counseling, intensive outpatient substance use disorder treatment, residential treatment for pregnant and parenting women who face substance use disorders, transitional care and aftercare counseling for adults and adolescents, trauma-focused treatment for children/adolescents and their families impacted by traumatic events. This can address a multitude of circumstances including COVID-related trauma, physical/ /sexual/emotional abuse, witness of violence, household incarceration, family substance abuse, mental illness, parent separation or divorce, medical, grief or refugee trauma, and bullying, neglect, disasters and more. ​Also offers MRT (Moral Recognition Therapy), CBISA (Cognitive Behavioral Intervention Substance Abuse), and Telehealth services.

The parents, families, and surrogate families of children with SED participate in all aspects of evaluation, planning and delivery of services. Works closely with child-serving agencies and programs.

Offers telehealth services. Family Pathways (Family Outreach Services) counselors providing intensive counseling and support services for children in community locations such as home or school. Psychiatric Services include assessments and medication management. CARE - Continuous Assistance, Rehabilitation, and Education services for adults with severe mental illness.

Services are available for boys and girls, ages 4-14 years old, who exhibit emotional disorders and/or behavioral problems. The average length of diagnostic assessment period is thirty days. The average length of stay for residential treatment is twelve to fourteen months. The Special Education School Program specializes in the education and treatment of children with emotional and behavioral disorders. Initial assessment includes psychiatric evaluation, physical exam, nursing assessment, educational testing, family/social assessment, trauma assessment, and speech/language screening.

Individual, couples, or family therapy for the treatment of children, adolescents, adults, and seniors focusing on issues including, but are not limited to anxiety, mood, personality disorders, somatization disorders, psychosexual disorders, schizophrenia, post-traumatic stress (PTSD), abuse issues, eating disorders, dementia, grief and loss, childhood emotional and behavioral disorders, spirituality, stress management, and executive health. Evaluations available include psychiatric, psychological, neuropsychological, forensic, and custody.

Therapy sessions can be done in-person or telehealth.

Provides traditional outpatient mental health therapy for individuals, families, children, couples, and groups. Also provides psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and psychological assessments. Services can be accessed both in person and via telehealth services. Children's services include case management and a home-based program that provides a wide range of therapeutic support. Early childhood mental health services are also available including play therapy. Areas of specialization include depression, anxiety, grief, parenting challenges, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), stress management, and issues related to trauma or abuse.

Intensive, non-residential treatment program providing services to children who meet the states' Severe Emotional Disturbance (SED) criteria and would not be successful in less restrictive services. Also provides services to their families. Incorporating counseling, case management, and family support services, with the goal of assisting in the development of a nurturing and stable family environment in which children may grow. A counselor along with family, individuals supporting the family, and professionals will develop a customized treatment plan which will assist in meeting the needs of the child and family. Services provided to program participants include 24-hour crisis assistance, counseling services, chemical dependency screenings and assessments, case management, dedication management, psychiatric services, classes and workshops on mental health topics, early childhood mental health services, and play therapy for children ages 0 to 5. Some therapies offered in this program include Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Moral Reconation Therapy (MRT), and Aggression Replacement Therapy (ART).

Paula Lain Counseling (PLC) is a female-led counseling service that offers sessions for individuals, families, couples, and adolescents, with a particular emphasis on animal-assisted therapy.

Providing individual and marriage counseling from a Christian perspective, and psychological evaluations. Internet counseling available depending on insurance/third party payment or private pay.

Offers psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and individual psychotherapy at the Sioux Falls clinic for all ages, with telehealth options available. Midwest Wellness Institute also brings psychiatric care and medication management to underserved areas through telehealth and on-site clinics, hospitals, correctional facilities and nursing homes through contracted mental health services. Services include TMS Therapy, Spravato, Botox Injections, Individual Psychotherapy Counseling, Correctional Rehabilitation, Mental Health Screening, Psychological Assessments, Pediatric Psychiatry, Adolescent Psychiatry, Adult Psychiatry, Geriatric Psychiatry, Medication Management, Medication-Assisted Treatment for Opioid Addiction, Independent Psychiatric Evaluations, and Forensic Psychiatry.

Provides the following mental health services: adult psychiatry, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), medication management, counseling (individual, family, couple, marriage, and play therapy for children), psychological testing, several support groups, and parenting classes.

Provides alcohol and substance treatment to the Rapid City (Mni Luzahan) Native American Community and other affiliated tribes in the region. The Native Healing Program utilizes the traditional Native American life ways as a method of healing the spirit. Also, provides Codependency Workshops, 12 hour DUI class, substance abuse treatment needs assessments, and talking circle. Fully accredited with State of South Dakota for outpatient services.
