Coteau des Prairies (CDP) Health Care System is a 25-bed, critical access acute care, community non-profit hospital serving approximately 21,000 residents in the Glacial Lakes Region in north east South Dakota, and west central Minnesota. Also offers behavioral health services such as dialectical behavioral therapy (DBT) and eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) therapy.

Urgent care offering services to the public such as allergy symptoms, bug bites, headache and migraines, common infections, foreign object removal, cold and flu symptoms, sexual transmitted infections (STI), lab testing, and DOT, drug screening and worker's comp.

Clinic provides primary care, mental health, home based primary care, and telehealth services. No emergency services are provided at the clinic. Mental Health Services include individual, couples, and group psychotherapy The following programs and specialty care are available by telehealth: Returning Service Member Care Management, PTSD Care, Primary Care, Blind and Low Vision Rehabilitation, Mental Health Care, Military Sexual Trauma Care, and Women Veteran Care.

SDUIH is accredited by the Accreditation Association for Ambulatory Health Care (AAAHC) and is a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC). Transportation is available for current patients if needed.
