Goals and objectives for Trans Life are working to end transgender suicide and improve overall mental health of transgender people through education, advocacy, and direct service; empowers trans people to help one another, and to shape their collective efforts by drawing upon the wealth of individual experiences, and provides compassionate care free of stigma around mental health, transgender status, and other factors of sex and/or gender, race, ethnicity, class background or income/wealth, ability, or any factors not specifically named.

An ambulatory care center with outpatient services. Services include dental care, mental health services, public health nurse, environmental health care, optometry, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy (Prescription Assistance - Enrolled members of a Native American tribe can get free prescriptions by visiting their local IHS), podiatry, HIV Clinic, SANE services, and Fitness Center.

Provides primary health services free of charge for the homeless. This includes those living in shelters, transitional housing, on the streets, or doubled up with friends, neighbors, or relatives. Counseling services available.

Provides individual, marital, and family counseling with a focus on addiction recovery (including evaluations), abuse, healthy relationships, unplanned pregnancy, adoption, and birth parents. Youth prevention program focuses on issues of addiction, violence, promiscuity, and suicide. Variety of educational workshops available. Offers free counseling services to ranchers and producers facing stressful times. Adoption services offers domestic and international adoption services, including, but not limited to: support for individuals coping with the many emotions and decisions that come from choosing adoption; providing birth parents have the opportunity to interview and select the adoptive family; working under the provisions of Baby Moses law; and providing home studies and training for potential foster parents/homes. Pregnancy Counseling supports mothers as they experience the many emotions and decision that come with facing an unplanned pregnancy and help find the options that will work the best. Assistance with medical costs associated with pregnancy may be available. Some infant items are also available (layettes, infant clothing, etc.). Licensed social workers are available to travel and meet mothers involved in a crisis situation. Crisis pregnancy meeting sites will be kept confidential and be convenient for the mother. Start Making It Livable for Everyone (SMILE) classes for separating and divorcing parents with children under the age of 18, designed to: inform parents how to better understand the effects of divorce; assist parents to understand the needs of their children; help parents learn what they can do to create a nurturing and safe environment so their children can recover and feel good about themselves; inform parents how to prevent destructive game playing that is common among divorce; help parents gain problem solving skills; and let parents know they are not alone. Other programs include: Lakota Circles of Hope, Disaster Relief, and Uplifting Parents.

Specializing in group therapy for food/body image issues or eating disorders and their origins. An eating disorder diagnosis is not required. Weekly group is virtual only. Day long retreats are in person, free will offering. Participation in either requires a screening/assessment, fee is negotiated.

A culturally-appropriate, anonymous, confidential and free service dedicated to serving Native American and Alaska Native impacted by domestic and sexual violence. Advocates take a Native-centered, empowerment based and trauma informed approach to every call, text and chat. Advocates are available 24/7 and offer peer-to-peer support, crisis intervention and safety planning, information and education about domestic and sexual violence, referrals to Native-centered domestic violence, sexual violence service providers, basic information about health options, support locating health facilities or crisis centers trained in the care of sexual assault and forensic exams, and general information about jurisdiction and legal advocacy referrals.

Provides pharmacy services, vaccinations, free local delivery, and is a medical disposal take-back site. Customers can use the RefillRx Mobile App to refill medications, set up medication reminders, and get text notifications for when prescriptions are being delivered.

​ Sponsored by The University of South Dakota Sanford School of Medicine medical students under the supervision of internal medicine physicians, provide health care with the goal is to provide health care to uninsured patients over the age of 18 while providing a learning opportunity for medical students. Offers care of any acute medical problems and also offers STD testing and free flu shots. Psychiatry services also available during two appointment times (5:30pm and 6:30pm). The first clinic of each month will be for seeing new patients at these appointments while the second clinic will be for follow-up and seeing established patients. This clinic also offers prescription assistance.

Sad Isn't Bad is a free series of 4 weekly sessions designed to support children and their parents/caregivers who are grieving. After sharing a meal, participants are divided into groups by age; adults, adolescents and children. Children's group facilitators are masters level individuals trained to work with children. Most are school counselors or social workers. Each group session is geared to address the issues of the grieving family. Sessions are three times per year, once in the Winter, Spring and Fall.

Comprehensive services include counseling and support groups over the phone, online and in-person, educational workshops, publications and financial and co-payment assistance. Services provided include emergency room response, court advocacy, assistance filing protection orders, assistance filing crime victim compensation, emotional support, temporary emergency shelter, comprehensive case management, supportive services, and information and referral.

NAMI Homefront provides a free online suite of mental health resources for caregivers, family members, military service members and veterans. These resources are meant to educate and empower the military community in their journey towards mental health recovery and overall well-being.

H.U.G.S. (Hope, Understanding, Grief, Support) is a peer-led support group for suicide loss survivors in the Aberdeen area. H.U.G.S. meetings provide the opportunity to explore feelings and shared experiences through the grieving process. They are led by volunteers who have lost a loved one to suicide. Meetings are held once a month, are free and drop-in.

The Veterans Crisis Line is a free, confidential resource that's available to anyone, even to those who are not registered with VA or enrolled in VA health care. The responders at the Veterans Crisis Line are specially trained and experienced in helping Veterans of all ages and circumstances. Also offers a crisis chat program available on their website.
