The Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors (LOSS) Team is called to the scene to help survivors with the next steps and offer any extra support and resources to the surviving loved ones. Lifeways has school-based Addiction and Prevention Counselors in the Rapid City Area School District and limited services in the Douglas School District. Addiction Counselors are also available at main office in Rapid City for all adolescents (public, private and home-schooled) who are experiencing problems with substance use and in need of screening and/or assessment and treatment.
