A 24-hour crisis hotline and emergency shelter providing: assistance and or 'emergency temporary' shelter to victims of dating & domestic violence, human trafficking, sexual assault and stalking. Services offered include crisis intervention, 24 hour crisis hotline, assistance in obtaining and filing Protection and Stalking orders, assistance with rape response calls, referral services to other helping agencies in the community, Weekly Support Group, and Outreach and Education Prevention. Limited financial assistance available. All services are free and confidential.

Adolescent substance use prevention, early intervention, drug and alcohol assessments and outpatient treatment for all youth in the Rapid City, Box Elder and area communities. Lifeways has school-based Addiction and Prevention Counselors in the Rapid City Area School District and limited services in the Douglas School District. Addiction Counselors are also available at main office in Rapid City for all adolescents (public, private and home-schooled) who are experiencing problems with substance use and in need of screening and/or assessment and treatment.

NAMI offers support groups for those living with mental illness, as well as separate support groups for their families. NAMI also provides a range of educational opportunities and trainings for impacted families, community members and professionals. Many of the offerings are at no cost. A team of first responders who work with law enforcement when there has been a death by suicide in Pennington County. The Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors (LOSS) Team is called to the scene to help survivors with the next steps and offer any extra support and resources to the surviving loved ones. The Loss Team follows families for up to a year after their loss with case management services.
