The Ryan White Part C program helps HIV positive people who live in Eastern SD to access primary health care. All patients who apply for the Part C Program will have access to case management services. The case managers help people with HIV/AIDS find services they need such as medical care, health insurance assistance, assistance with paying for medications, financial help, food/nutrition assistance, housing, referral to substance use treatment programs and/or mental health services, transportation, and other types of services. The Part C Program is a payer of last resort. Patients that are eligible for compensation through other programs, such as Medicare, Medicaid, or private health insurance, must first access assistance through those programs. Funds are available to assist with primary care, lab testing, emergency prescriptions, outpatient mental health therapy, outpatient substance abuse treatment, dental care, transportation, outpatient nutritional services, and medical and non-medical case management. Other services include nurse case management, social work case management services, and HIV testing.

Whether an adult, teen or child struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, family conflict, behavioral challenges, trauma, pain, loss or any area of difficulty, staff are available to help and offer telehealth services. Mental health testing and assessment services also available, including: memory testing, disability testing, bariatric testing, ADHD/ADD testing and a wide range of competency assessments.

Part of the US Department of Veterans Affairs but separate from the VA Medical Centers, with separate and confidential medical records. Offering individual, group, and couples counseling both in Rapid City and at a number of Community Access Points in the Black Hills. Offers a culturally grounded, trauma-informed continuum of care for survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault, and elder abuse within the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe community and surrounding areas. Core services are survivor-centered and designed to promote safety, empowerment, and long-term stability by including emergency shelter, crisis intervention, and individualized advocacy. Advocates provide confidential support, assist with danger assessments, safety planning, and navigation of tribal and state legal systems, including protection orders, custody filings, and court accompaniment. Medical advocacy is available for hospital, clinic, and SANE exam visits. Staff also support access to victim compensation, transportation, healthcare, employment, childcare, and housing resources. Counseling and support groups help survivors process trauma and rebuild safety. All services are culturally responsive, emphasizing respect, community, and healing. Smudging is offered in the shelter, and clients are connected to tribal elders and cultural mentors for additional traditional healing. A 24-hour crisis line provides immediate, confidential support, while community education promotes healthy relationships, consent awareness, and bystander intervention. The shelter program also hosts Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault community education/awareness/prevention events to the public or organizations within the community.

The Potter County Sheriff's Department protects the rights of the citizens within its jurisdiction to be free from criminal attacks, to be secure in their possessions and to live in peace. The County Sheriff is also the contact for mental health holds, county jails/correctional facilities and fingerprinting (call for specifics). Medication Disposal drop box is available.

In the Oyate Health Center Pharmacy, there is a prescription drug take back site. It is a blue drop-box near pharmacy pick-up windows where unused or expired medications can be disposed of safely and securely.
