Provides support for men who have endured abuse within their relationships. It is an 8-week group that provides support for male victims and survivors of domestic violence. The group includes educational information, as well as open discussion about personal experiences. Topics of discussion include: the dynamics of domestic violence, the cycle of abuse, overcoming gender roles and stereotypes, characteristics of healthy relationships, safe communication, building a support system, and healing from abuse. This is a closed group, registration is required by contacting the group facilitator. There is no cost to attend.

H.U.G.S. (Hope, Understanding, Grief, Support) is a peer-led support group for suicide loss survivors in the Aberdeen area. H.U.G.S. meetings provide the opportunity to explore feelings and shared experiences through the grieving process. They are led by volunteers who have lost a loved one to suicide. Meetings are held once a month, are free and drop-in.

A team of first responders who work with law enforcement when there has been a death by suicide in Pennington County. The Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors (LOSS) Team is called to the scene to help survivors with the next steps and offer any extra support and resources to the surviving loved ones. Meetings are located all over the world with the majority being in North America. Meetings are held seven days a week at all times of the day. Meeting formats include face-to-face, telephone, and web-based options. SAA does NOT offer telephone counseling nor is it a "hotline." Interested parties will be referred to a meeting in the caller's area or to a telephone/web-based meeting for assistance.
