Sanford Hospice is a specially trained team that is committed to providing our patients with quality end-of-life care. Our interdisciplinary team understands and is sensitive to the needs of our patients and their loved ones. Our team is comprised of nurses, medical director, social workers, dietitians, volunteers and chaplains.
Hospice services can be provided wherever that patient calls home. This includes inpatient hospice, hospice cottages, nursing homes, assisted livings, and other long term care facilities. Hospice cottages, a unique way to care for a terminally-ill patient who is unable to remain in their home for care, are available, as well.
Ava's House features 16 adult patient rooms and 4 pediatric patient rooms. Services include 24-hour room service menu for patients, aromatherapy, grief/bereavement counseling, music enrichment, pain management, pet therapy, spiritual and social support, and remembrance items and activities for the family.

The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe operates under a constitution approved on April 24, 1959 by the Tribal Council of Standing Rock Sioux Tribe. The Tribal Council consists of a Chairman, Vice-Chairman, a Secretary and fourteen additional Councilmen which are elected by the tribal members.
Regular Tribal Council meetings are the first Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of the month. Committee meetings are held the second week of the month. The last Monday of the month is for gaming and other tribal business.
