The Sisseton Wahpeton Oyate of the Lake Traverse Reservation, formerly Sisseton-Wahpeton Sioux Tribe/Dakota Nation, is a federally recognized tribe comprising two bands and two sub-divisions of the Isanti or Santee Dakota people.

Pivot Point provides 24/7 crisis assessment and stabilization services for adults (18+) who are experiencing a mental health crisis. Services include a comprehensive mental health assessment, stabilization of acute psychiatric symptoms, the development of a safety plan, and connection to appropriate ongoing services and supports. There is no fee for services. Individuals in need of transportation to the facility may contact the facility or law enforcement to assist with transportation. Providing a safe, culturally grounded space for Native Youth in Rapid City to foster healing, health, and wellness while building self-determination and strengthening life skills. Center Amenities and Services offered include daily meals and snacks, food/hygiene pantry, access to shower and laundry facilities, social and recreational activities (e.g. basketball and volleyball courts, gaming area, and computer lab), Creative Arts (i.e. on-site recording studio, arts and crafts room), Life Skills Workshops, Homework Help, Tutoring, and an on-site K-12 homeschool option. Additional programs offered include a Street Outreach Team that connects homeless or at-risk youth to basic necessities and Resource Navigators to connect youth and families with vital services ---mentorship, obtaining personal identification documents, pursuing employment opportunities, and/or finding emergency shelter/stable housing.

The IMPACT (Individualized and Mobile program of Assertive Community Treatment) program is designed for individuals with severe mental illness who are in need of intensive supports in the community. Services are highly mobile and delivered in the clinic, home or other community-based locations depending on need and consumer preference. Treatment is based on a comprehensive assessment and the patient is involved in each step of treatment planning. IMPACT services may include symptom monitoring, medication management, nursing care, individual or group counseling and education, direct assistance in obtaining basis necessities and other supports. Services are provided by an interdisciplinary team of professionals that include psychiatrists, psychologists, advanced practice nurses, mental health counselors, psychiatric social workers and case managers.

Provides mental health therapy services for individuals, families, and couples dealing with life's challenges. Offers marriage, grief/bereavement, couples, adolescent/youth, parent, and telehealth counseling. Also provides mental health screening and cognitive behavioral therapy.

The Disaster Distress Helpline is a hotline dedicated to providing year-round disaster crisis counseling. This crisis support service is for anyone experiencing emotional distress related to disasters such as: tornados or severe storms, hurricanes and tropical storms, floods, wildfires, earthquakes, drought, incidents of mass violence, and anniversaries of triggered events.

Pharmacy services include immunizations, prescription refills, health screenings, and a medication disposal drop box. - Medication disposal drop-boxes for expired, unused or unwanted controlled, non-controlled, and over the counter medications, including pet medications. Items that are NOT accepted include: trash, regulated medical waste, sharps, syringes, thermometers, hazardous waste, aerosols, illicit drugs, or commercial waste.

Services include outpatient therapy providing individual (prenatal to geriatric), couple/marriage, and family counseling on topics including, but not limited to: life's major transitions, trauma, grief, depression and anxiety, medical adjustments and more. School-Based outpatient therapy providing individual, family and parent/teacher consultations within the Brookings Public and Brookings County School Districts. Group-based therapy providing psycho-education related to the needs of therapists caseloads to help increase supportive and therapeutic environments and skills. Specialized trauma and healing-informed services.

Whether it's serving civil papers, warrants, patrolling Pennington County or investigating crimes, the employees in the Law Enforcement Division are always ready to assist Pennington County residents and visitors. The department is a year-round prescription drug take-back site.  The County Sheriff is also the contact for mental health holds, burning bans, county jails/correctional facilities (including Western SD Juvenile Center), and fingerprinting for pistol permits. Other reasons for fingerprinting in Pennington County, are done by Rapid City police at 605-394-6612.

Lewis & Clark Behavioral Health Services is an Appropriate Regional Facility for the State of South Dakota offering safe, supportive services for individuals experiencing mental health crisis or thoughts of self-harm.

Comprehensive services include counseling and support groups over the phone, online and in-person, educational workshops, publications and financial and co-payment assistance. All services are provided by oncology social workers and world-leading cancer experts. Offers individual counseling or support groups in three ways: face-to-face, on the telephone, and online. Connect with others in support groups for cancer patients, loved ones and people who have lost a loved one, led by master's-prepared oncology social workers. Online support groups are available, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Support for LGBTQ individuals who have endured abuse in their relationships. An 8-sessions support group for victims and survivors of domestic violence, with meetings held weekly. All adults with diverse gender identities and sexual orientations are welcome. Educational information is provided, as well as open discussion about personal experiences. This is a closed group, so registration is required by contacting the group facilitator. There is no cost to attend.  Discussion topics: Issues specific to LGBTQ individuals, overcoming gender roles and stereotypes, dynamics of domestic violence, the cycle of abuse, characteristics of health vs. unhealthy relationships, safe communication, building a support system, and healing from abuse.

Client-centered, cognitive behavioral and energy based counseling for children, teens, adults, and families. For children, play therapy addresses many issues including physical, sexual and emotional abuse, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, recovery from traumatic events, divorce, and foster or adoptive situations. Individual and family counseling for children and teens addresses behavior disorders, family and relationship issues, parenting concerns, substance abuse, eating disorders, self-harming behaviors, chronic mental illness, anxiety, depression, and self-esteem. Sessions often focus on exploring and shifting core beliefs through resolving past issues. For adults, sessions blend Cognitive Behavioral and Client Centered Therapies with Energy Psychology techniques to understand how their issues may be influenced by past trauma. By identifying dysfunctional core beliefs and resolving the events/emotions that helped create those false beliefs, clients can move forward with more joy, less stress and confidence in their own power to heal. Sessions utilize energy balancing and clearing techniques (Emotional Freedom Technique, Emotional Code/Body Code, Matrix Reimprinting and Vibroaccoustic Therapy) as appropriate to release blocked emotions and energy for clients of all ages. Flexible scheduling allows for sessions to be held in the office or other community settings when possible, and telehealth sessions are available.
