Bright Start is a community-based, voluntary program which implements the evidence based Nurse Family Partnership model to provide nurse home visitation services to families during pregnancy, after delivery and may continue until the child's second birthday. A long-term (up to 24 months) shelter for victims of human trafficking. Victims must be willing to stay at least 6 months. Pathfinder Center is not an emergency short-term shelter. Mission is to provide a place of refuge for victims of human trafficking from all over South Dakota. Safety - Women have stable, safe housing and protection from traffickers. They become part of a healthy, safe community of support that provides compassionate assistance while they address pressing legal, medical and emotional needs. Services and Support - Women receive addiction counseling, job skills/GED classes, emergency counseling and transportation. Services wil also include a crisis hotline, clothing, food and hygiene items. Self Development - Women learn life skills such as communication, conflict resolution, understanding boundaries, understanding trafficking and trauma, and making safe choices to help them live independent lives. Cannot accept anyone who is still using drugs or alcohol. If the victim is still using substances/has addiction issues, they must attend treatment prior to receiving services.

In-Shelter or Out-of-Shelter services provided to victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and their families, so they can make decisions about their lives in a supportive, non-judgmental and empowering atmosphere. Ongoing advocacy is provided and assistance with obtaining resources to seek, or rebuild, a new and safe life. Provides courtroom advocacy, assist with protection orders, can provide interpretive services, and safety planning, and can assist with supplies for day-to-day living and setting up a new household. Children are welcome. Assistance with transportation needs can be addressed. Shelter can accommodate nine adults and several children.

Helps families and their support systems find hope and healing after the loss of a child at any age. Provides encouragement, compassion and support through retreats, education and small groups. The groups provide a way to connect with other families who are walking a similar journey. Different from other retreats, Healing Hope hosts only 1 family at a time (in a guest house on on 5-acre property), creating a unique one-on-one experience. The facilitators walk alongside the families, not as counselors, but as peers that have been on a similar journey. Healing Hope also appreciates the opportunity to educate the community by sharing personal stories of grief and life lessons with different groups, churches, schools, etc.
